What does it mean?
If you want to distribute software, you need a software package. This software package must be registered in Altiris.
The software package can

- be a script (PowerShell, CMD)
- be an MSIX
What is it good for?
- Adding packaged software to Altiris can be completed in just 3 minutes.
- All necessary elements are automatically created in Altiris (filters, software, policies, detection rules, etc.).
- The imported software is recorded in a database table.
How long does the implementation take?
- It takes 4 days to set up the workflow.
- If you do not yet have a workflow server, it will take an additional day to install it.
