What is a Secret Dependency?
- A secret can have various dependencies.
- These dependencies can be recognized automatically with Secret Server.
- The dependencies are determined using the Discovery Process.
How are dependencies managed?
- Dependencies can also be updated manually:
- If “Remote Password Changing” is active for this secret, the password is not only changed for this secret, but the dependencies are also taken into account.
- This means, for example, that the password for this Windows account is updated in the Windows service.
- The respective dependencies are also updated.
